County MOU: General Unit CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening. Travel: Travel throughout the County is required. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained for the individual providing the transportation. Working Conditions: This position requires frequent moving, lifting, and carrying of items up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs, either manually or with the aid of lifting devices, i.e. dollies and/or large carts. Candidates must be able to present their legal right to work in the United States at the time of employment. Minimum Requirements License: Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license.-AND-Experience: Six (6) months of full-time equivalent experience performing delivery driving duties involving the pickup and/or delivery of materials to multiple daily locations, including following delivery schedules and determining efficient delivery routes. Qualifying experience must include driving as part of regular job duties. Note: Public transportation and app-based food delivery services are not considered qualifying experience.
