Leads a team of managers and craftsmen that provide safe, reliable, efficient and high-quality maintenance, fabrication and construction for all bridge and structural assets across the CSXT system. Provides strategic and operational leadership. Ensures regulatory compliance, infrastructure integrity, and alignment with enterprise priorities. Primary Activities and Responsibilities. Lead bridge maintenance, fabrication and construction programs across the CSXT system. Drive safety performance and ensure compliance with FRA, Transport Canada, Coast Guard and other regulatory standards. Develop and execute short- and long-range capital and maintenance strategies. Own operating and capital budgets. Ensure effective prioritization and delivery of infrastructure investments. Establish standards and maintenance practices to ensure asset quality and reliability. Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Transportation, Finance, and Procurement to align on priorities and execution. Oversee contractor performance and project delivery. Provide technical leadership on structural issues, risk mitigation, and emergency response. Build leadership bench strength and drive organizational capability across bridge operations. Minimum Qualifications. High School Diploma/ GED 10 years of experience in bridge/structural engineering, construction, or maintenance 7 years of leadership experience in engineering or operations. Preferred Qualifications. Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree in Civil Engineering 5 or more years of supervisory experience in Construction, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Bridge/ Structural Maintenance in the railroad industry. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Knowledge and Skills. Railroad bridge engineering and structural systems expertise. Construction experience. FRA and Coast Guard regulatory knowledge. Labor agreement knowledge and experience. Capital planning and asset management. Financial and operational leadership. Contractor and project management. Ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams. Public speaking ability and professional presence. Must be able to meet and comply with the manufacturer's weight limitation safety rating and recommendations for any equipment associated with performing duties, including the 300 lb. safety rating for ladders (both portable and affixed) and fall arrest equipment.
