As the Senior Manager, Facilities you will oversee all aspects of maintenance and repairs at the office and the Global Fulfillment Center (GFC) including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting activities, and facility equipment upkeeping to support safe and efficient operations. This role will require a mix of hands-on approach, leading a team, and coordination with vendors to service and maintain our equipment. The Chicago campus is made up of 3 buildings, all supported by the Senior Manager, Facilities. A Typical Day Oversee preventive maintenance and repair for a fully automated Global Fulfillment Center (GFC) including but not limited to repairing conveyor lines, robotics troubleshooting, and warehouse and facility equipment maintenance management. Build trusty relationships with vendors and service providers in order to coordinate maintenance support, necessary upgrades, and facility repairs. Coordinate all necessary shuttle bus preventive maintenance and repair. Lead, train, and develop a team of conveyor technicians and maintenance technicians with a focus on safety and efficiency. Oversee maintenance of essential facility systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, as well as performance of tasks such as snow removal, waste management, fire safety arrangements, and others. Support a safe work environment by addressing equipment-related safety concerns. Work closely with GFC leadership team to address operational maintenance and safety issues promptly. Maintain required OSHA documentation, ensure maintenance practices meet safety and regulatory standards. Assist with GFC equipment training when needed. Review 3rd party contractor policy with service providers and ensure compliance. Work with GFC leadership to ensure automation uptime allows them to meet customer needs. Run a competitive bid process that meets budget and timeline constraints. To Land This Opportunity You have 8 years of experience working with electrical, mechanical systems, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and able to troubleshoot issues. You’ve led successful teams, prioritized multiple projects, managed a maintenance budget and spare parts inventory. You have experience working in an automated and fast-paced environment. You’ve had responsibility for multiple operating buildings. You consider yourself an expert in troubleshooting automated systems and conveyors, and you like learning new things about robotics. You have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 8 or more hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking and carrying products in combination at any given time. You have fantastic communication skills & you’re proficient in English (verbal and written) You are looking to work Monday through Friday and can work Saturdays as needed. You can flex your schedule to handle urgent facility needs, even outside normal hours.
