SALARY: $29.15 - $35.44 / Hour OPENING DATE: 6/5/26 CLOSING DATE: 6/19/26 at 1:00 pm Pacific Time. THE POSITION: Under direction, assists in the planning and delivery of selected recreation programs and activities to the community; provides assistance and support of recreation facilities and sites; performs other duties as required. May be assigned limited programming tasks for adult and youth sports, after-school programs, leisure classes, special events and educational programs.
Representative Duties
The following typical tasks and responsibilities are representative of this class. They are descriptive, not limiting. Essential Duties: Leads and implements recreational activities such as: center activities, sports, arts and crafts, special events, contests, drama, and other related activities at the following locations: a park, community center, school, or related facility; Interacts with various age groups, organizations, and recreation users to exchange ideas; Leads subordinate staff in programming, care, and maintenance of equipment, facility, and supplies; keeps records and encourages community involvement; Performs physical activities such as: setting up or taking down chairs and tables, carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, preparing for special events and standing for long periods. Minimum Qualifications

ORAL APPRAISAL INTERVIEW (Weighted 100%): June 29th, 2026 (Tentative)An appraisal will be made of the applicant's experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required. NOTE: Admission to the Examination may be limited to those applicants who demonstrate the best combination of qualifications.
