Administers configuration management activities related to identification, control and accounting for engineering documents, parts and BOMS for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Maintains procedures to implement and process engineering documents for all assigned projects to ensure compliance with policies and scheduling requirements. Participates in reviewing engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality assurance and manufacturing to ensure compliance with customer requirements and Company policy. Reviews work project notifications to assure the accuracy of current contractual reporting requirements. Maintains procedures for storage, retention and destruction of company records, processing, filming, storing and retrieving current and historical design, technical and programmatic documents according to project, customer and company practices and requirements. May participate in change control meetings. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating practices and procedures. Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required. We operate on a 9 x 80 schedule with every other Friday off. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related discipline and ten or more years of related experience. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Must have a general understanding of configuration management concepts and principles, related governmental rules and regulations and experience demonstrating a general application of those concepts and principles. The ability to identify issues and develop solutions to a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences including senior management and senior external parties. Strong interpersonal skills to influence all levels of employees, including senior managers. The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. The ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications ( Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint ). Familiarity with tools like Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. Experience in industries like aerospace, defense, or manufacturing is often preferred. Familiarity with CM standards such as SAE EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61, ISO 100007. Familiarity with AS 9100, ISO-9001 and EAR/ ITAR requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required. Good communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management;Ability to represent the organization on proposal matters with external customers. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required. Must be willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines and increase probability of project success. Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
