Lab assistants perform the preparation of specimens received for testing in the Laboratory. This includes separating blood components into the appropriate samples for in-house testing and/or send-out testing. They are required to provide courteous and complete responses to inquiries and requests. process mail for specific clients and locations, and to support the Laboratory in maintaining supply inventory. other duties include:Receive inpatients and outpatients specimens for laboratory testing. Provide courteous and complete responses to inquiries and requests via any mode of communication. Processe mail for specific reference labs. Support the Laboratory in maintaining supply inventory. Requirements Must possess a high school diploma or GED.1 Year in Hospital Laboratory or Reference Laboratory Preferred. Typing skills, computer experience, some science education Preferred. Min.
