Schedule: 36 Nights - Part of our Weekend Incentive Program (WIP)WIP Nurses commit to work at least three (3) twelve (12) hour weekend shifts for three (3) out of (4) weekends during a four (4) week schedule block will receive a WIP differential of $9.00 per hour for all hours worked on the weekend. This differential is in addition to any shift differential to which the nurse may otherwise be eligible for the particular shift worked. The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor. The Staff Nurse will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice. As a nurse in our Med Surg Float Pool, you float amongst all of our units and provide care to our patients where needed. By floating around the hospital, you will be exposed to different patient populations and specialties. This will allow you to build a more versatile skillset as well as sharpen your adaptability. Qualifications. BSN required. Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required. BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required. Membership in a professional nursing organization preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients. Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities. Ability to adhere to all I. C. A. R. E. standards
