Author and revise material or process specifications. Environmental protection methods and requirements. Investigation of corrosion reports, recommending design changes to reduce corrosion impacts, address corrosion related inquiries around materials, processes and equipment. Support non-conformances, fleet impact assessments, notice of escapes. Review and approve suppliers to chemical processing methods. Analyze failures, conduct failure analysis, lead and process improvements or initiatives to finishing systems. Interface with government, external and internal customers. Review and approve documents and drawings for finishing requirements. Perform production acceptance and/or qualification of materials. Production and development support of Boeing St. Louis aircraft programs. Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Hazelwood, MO site. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance post-start and potentially Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Must be willing to travel up to 10%. Experience in one more of the following specialties: Aerospace or Automotive Paint Application, Paints & Coatings, Inorganic Chemical Processes. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/ Experience):Experience with aerospace coatings and/or finishing systems. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
