OCHSNER CHILDREN'S HEALTH CENTER is seeking a Board-Certified Child/ Adolescent Psychologist to practice in Meridian, MS. Candidates must have a PhD. or Psy. D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA approved University; be licensed or eligible for licensure in Mississippi; and have experience working with children and adolescents. Special consideration will be given to applicant s who have experience and interest providing psychological testing (although this is not a requirement of the position). Responsibilities. Provide psychotherapy and psychological testing to children and adolescents. Work with families within an integrated pediatric medical center. Consult and support pediatric medical providerswithin the Department of Psychiatry and Pediatrics. In addition to robust clinical skills, the ideal candidate will be able to work in a collaborative manner with other health professionals (Pediatricians, Medical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers) and assist with program development. Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience and training. Responsibilities include the provision of psychotherapy and psychological testing to children and adolescents and well as working with families within an integrated pediatric medical center. The Child Psychologist will consult and support pediatric medical providers within the Department of Psychiatry and Pediatrics. Additionally, S/he will recommend appropriate follow-up services and helpfamilies navigate how to access additional services as indicated, including keeping abreast of pediatric mental and behavioral health services at Ochsner to facilitate referrals effectively. The psychologist will participate in monthly section and department meetings and may participate in intern/fellow training.
