Correctional Facilities Support (CFS) Professional(IT Architecture Senior Specialist)Full Time | Permanent. Salary Range: $102,264 - $137,250 Annually. This is a telework/hybrid position. The candidate of choice may work from anywhere within the state of Washington with a reliable internet connection. Travel will be required. This recruitment is open to current DOC employees only. The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative professional to serve as a Correctional Facilities Support (CFS) Professional (IT Architecture Senior Specialist). As a member of the IT Architecture team, this position provides expert-level technical support, solution design, and documentation for statewide applications that do not have dedicated headquarters enterprise teams. As a CFS Professional, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing technical designs, supporting the implementation of new solutions, and ensuring reliable and secure technology services for DOC computer users across the agency. In addition to providing Tier 3 support, this position works closely with enterprise technology teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving network switches, servers, Active Directory, and telephony systems. Serving as a critical link between onsite facility support teams and enterprise groups, the CFS Architecture Senior Specialist/ Troubleshooter acts as a technical intermediary to facilitate communication, problem resolution, and successful project delivery. This position requires statewide travel to support deployments, major system upgrades, and issue resolution activities. This role plays a vital part in bridging operational gaps, ensuring continuity of support, and advancing technology solutions that support the mission of the Department of Corrections. As an IT Architecture Senior Specialist, some of your duties will include: Architecting and developing designs and standards for new solutions which could include:Researching, architecting, and designing plans for new solutions. Analyzing and updating updates current architecture to plan for growth and service improvement of existing system. Articulating system requirements for new deployments and related resources. Developing IT standards for new systems. Developing and maintaining Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed (RACI) matrixes for IT and business partners. Establishing configurations for standardization, system stability, availability and useability. Ensuring conformity and standardization of card access systems for use throughout DOC facilities. Creating and maintaining IT Instruction & Procedures. Serving on the IT Architecture Board. Application Support Tasks to include:Providing Tier 3 support and taking the role of business owner for applications used enterprise wide that are not supported by HQ enterprise application teams. Leading a CFS team that creates, documents, and deploys new technology throughout DOC - Assuming the role of CFS Liaison with the Application Support Group (ASG) managed applications. Providing CFS Tier 3 support. Assuming the role of the Statewide Trouble Shooter. Assuming the role of the CFS trainer
Qualifications
What we need (required qualifications):This position requires a total of eight (8) years’ experience in an enterprise environment. High school diploma or equivalent AND - Four (4) years of experience in the last six (6) years supporting an enterprise network environment within information technology to include:Switches, servers, active directory, telephony systems, software applications and hardware. Customer support regarding feature functionality; troubleshoot, diagnose, prioritize, and resolve customer issues for supported applications. Coordinating Vendor and IT colleagues support of IT and business systems AND - Four (4) years of professional work experience analyzing customer requirements, designing new solutions, documenting and recommending successful solutions. ORAssociates degree AND - Two (2) years of experience in the last six (6) years supporting an enterprise network environment within information technology to include:Switches, servers, active directory, telephony systems, software applications and hardware. Customer support regarding feature functionality; troubleshoot, diagnose, prioritize, and resolve customer issues for supported applications. Coordinating Vendor and IT colleagues support of IT and business systems AND - Four (4) years of professional work experience analyzing customer requirements, designing new solutions, documenting and recommending successful solutions. OR A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an accredited institution AND - Experience in an enterprise network environment within information technology to include:Switches, servers, active directory, telephony systems, software applications and hardware. Customer support regarding feature functionality; troubleshoot, diagnose, prioritize, and resolve customer issues for supported applications. Coordinating Vendor and IT colleagues support of IT and business systems. AND - Four (4) years of professional work experience analyzing customer requirements, designing new solutions, documenting and recommending successful solutions. In addition to the above education and experience, the below knowledge, skills and abilities are required: Two (2) years of project management experience within the last six (6) years with one (1) of those years leading IT projects and producing project management framework deliverables such as project proposals, project charters, and work breakdown structures.
