Staff Nurses are responsible for the following: Performs patient procedures within the nursing scope of practice. Practices safe medication administration and assesses patient responses to medication. Participates in reviewing and/or implementing clinical pathways and care coordination. The Staff Nurse will provide professional nursing care to a group of patients within a specified time period and complete all required documentation. Qualifications for this position include: BSN Degree preferred State Issued RN license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and ACLS - Two years recent RN experience in specialty. CEN, CCRN or proof of ECCO required. Trauma course preferred. The orientation is 4 shifts (2 TJUH, 1 Methodist, 1 JHN). - Minimum Commitment = = 48 hrs per 6 week period. Up to 24 hrs 50% of commitment will be scheduled on the weekend, as needed, Friday 7 pm to Monday 7 am 3 major holiday or premium days per year. Work Shift.
