Performs registration reporting functions including reconciliation of daily hospital census, level of care and SMS patient type for accurate charging and volume reports. Works with other departments to research, analyze, and take appropriate actions to resolve discrepancies in data that is critical to financial and statistical accuracy. Responsible for systems and error control for all registrations including identification of system errors as they occur. May publish monthly Summary Quality Reports. Responsibilities. Coordinates activities, reports and documents that ensures regulatory and accreditation compliance. Resolves discrepancies in registration data through review of reports, worklists and communication from departments, including Enterprise Coding, Revenue Management and Case Management. Perform quality audits to monitor integrity of data obtained during the registration process. Reviews patient status changes moving from inpatient to outpatient. Proficient in knowledge of insurance and data elements required for a patient registration. Available as an immediate resource during scheduling and registration. Communicates in a professional, positive and respectful manner with all departments. Implements and monitors in-service training programs for quality assurance purposes in technical areas. Analyzes error data and prepares written reports for leadership. Minimum Requirements. Education. High School Diploma or GED - Experience 2-5 years. Supervisor Experience. No Experience.
