Explains immunization requirements to UW Medicine staff and administers immunizations and follow up tests. Administers fit testing to ensure adequate respirator fit for employees. Orients RNs and Medical Assistants on correct immunization administration procedures. Triages questions related to blood borne exposures, the respiratory protection program, general employee inquiries, and work-related injuries. Completes data entry and data tracking for employee immunizations, accidents, and injuries. Participates in offsite immunization clinics, including night shift and weekend vaccination clinics during the flu vaccine season. Receives information from the Infection Control team and notifies employees who have been involved in work-related exposures to communicable illnesses. REQUIREMENTS 2 years of RN work experience in occupational health, employee health, a medical-surgical floor, or an ambulatory clinic. An active BLS - Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State. Broad working knowledge of primary care and urgent care principles.
