Location: UC Medical Center/ Hybrid Department: Contract Pharmacy. Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours/ Weekly Shift: First shift UC Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician Operations Coordinator at the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center Contract Pharmacy. Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, and according to standard procedure, the Coordinator-Pharmacy Technician Operations is responsible for developing and planning the nonprofessional operations of the department. This can include, but is not limited to, coordinating procurement, workflow, processes and services related to drug, equipment, and supplies. This includes tasks such as purchasing, diversion auditing, technology management, inventory management, distribution, and record keeping for medications in the pharmacy department as well as the associated clinics and departments that require medications; initiating purchase orders for pharmaceuticals, supplies, and service contracts; receiving and distribution of supplies, processing purchase requisitions, authorizing payment for wholesaler invoices, maintaining adequate inventory levels, providing inventory action and communication relative to shortages, recalls, alternative product source and selection. They collaborate within their facility and across the system as necessary for medication ordering, inventory management, medication distribution, auditing, and record keeping, ensuring that all regulatory standards are met and maintained. In addition, they maintain an active technician certification and the competency to be able to assist in times of extreme technician shortage or emergency.
