Identity & Access Management (IAM) Intern – Cybersecurity / Information Security

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) program, which is responsible for controlling user access to systems, applications, and sensitive data across the organization. This internship provides hands-on experience with enterprise IAM platforms and exposure to real-world cybersecurity practices, including identity lifecycle management, access governance, and security operations. What You'll Do Assist in managing user identities, authentication processes, and access provisioning/deprovisioning Support account creation, modification, and termination activities across enterprise systems Help maintain and improve IAM workflows within platforms such as Okta, Active Directory, and Saviynt Participate in access reviews (user roles and entitlements) to ensure appropriate access controls are in place Help troubleshoot user access issues and escalate as needed Assist with documentation of IAM processes and procedures for audit and compliance purposes Support integration efforts between IAM systems and business applications Contribute to enforcement of access control policies and cybersecurity standards Collaborate with IT, Security, and business teams on identity-related initiatives Learning Opportunities Exposure to enterprise IAM and Identity Governance (IGA) platforms Understanding of user lifecycle management (join, move, leave processes) Experience with access controls, role-based access, and security policies Insight into regulatory and audit requirements in a financial services environment Participation in ongoing IAM modernization initiatives (automation, integration, etc.) Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Cybersecurity Information Security Computer Science Information Systems or related field Basic understanding of IT or security concepts (networks, Active Directory, authentication, etc.) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to learn quickly and work in a team-oriented environment Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Familiarity with identity systems (Active Directory, Okta, Azure AD, etc.) Exposure to cybersecurity principles (least privilege, MFA, access controls) Basic scripting or automation knowledge (PowerShell, Python, etc.) Interest in governance, risk, or compliance Why Join Us Hands-on experience in a real-world enterprise cybersecurity program Work alongside experienced IAM engineers and security professionals Exposure to modern identity platforms and automation initiatives Opportunity to contribute to projects impacting enterprise security
