As a Control Management Senior Analyst in the Financial Management Systems & Solutions (FMSS) Team, you will be responsible for leading efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks throughout the suite of technology solutions supporting Finance, Accounting, and other business areas. This includes technology risks and controls impacting the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of our financial systems and data. This Control Management Function sits within the FMSS team and plays a critical role in designing and maintaining secure, compliant, and scalable systems that support our mission. As a Control Management Senior Analyst, you will help deliver the roadmap for control-process innovation, standardizing methodologies, documenting controls and process mappings, as well as performing control testing and identifying automation opportunities. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the design and operating effectiveness of the IT General Controls (ITGC) and Automated Application Controls (ITAC) that underpin the integrity of financial reporting. This includes control over access, segregation of duties, change management, system configurations, key reports, and integration controls. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Engineering Teams to mitigate risks and control issues through the implementation of fit-for-purpose controls across the product and technology landscape, guaranteeing the thoughtful delivery of compliant, resilient, and automation-ready products within the Finance & Accounting Domain. We are seeking an experienced, delivery-focused individual to help build a strong IT controls environment supporting finance-critical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, assessment, and readiness of controls, evaluating risks across systems and integrations, and ensuring that our control environment is rigorous, scalable, and aligned with the broader enterprise risk management standards. You will work closely with various teams across Bloomberg to embed proactive, technology-driven control solutions into our operations. We’ll trust you to: - Work independently and across a matrix organization partnering with business partners, functional owners, technology teams and external stakeholders serving as an advisor in assessing risk and identifying appropriate controls for in-scope activity. - Be responsible for the traceability of Finance & Accounting systems and data controls to Bloomberg’s Control Framework and Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICFR). which aligns with regulatory standards where applicable. - Execute technology control reviews for FMSS, including the scoping, assessment, and documentation of results for control domains such as access, change management, computer operations and configuration management. - Evaluate risks across new and existing infrastructure, applications, data flows, and third-party integrations. - Ensure that Risk and Control Matrixes and process flows align with best practice and meet regulatory standards. - Design and support the implementation of controls to mitigate risks in cloud environments, APIs, and Finance platforms. - Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to embed risk thinking into product design and educate teams on risk awareness and control responsibilities. - Drive IT risk and control design across internal Finance and third-party applications for end-to-end reliability of system integrations. - Facilitate discussions to review and challenge Risk & Control Self-Assessments You’ll need to have: - 7 Years of experience in IT Controls supporting Finance and other business processes within Front-Line Risk, Operational Risk, Internal or External Audit. Related Certifications are a plus (CISA, CIA, CRMA, CCEP, CISSP, CRCM, etc.). - Working knowledge of risk and control frameworks (i.e., COSO, COBIT, NIST, etc.) including financial and non-financial risks faced by institutions and their potential impacts on a Company’s operating environment. - Expertise in designing, assessing, and remediating IT General Controls (ITG - Cs) and automated controls across modern ERP and third-party finance platforms (e.g., cloud-based financial, HR, and procurement systems), including integration oversight, access/change management, and control automation. - A strong understanding of IT Controls supporting Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. - Experience in risk identification and control assessment with the ability to design, plan and execute testing of technology controls across a wide range of business processes. - Knowledge of manual and automated control testing techniques and knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements. - Understanding of how to assess information to evaluate the established procedures and controls and partner with the appropriate groups to determine control effectiveness. - Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills. - Ability to execute team strategy and the ability to proactively identify areas of risk across processes, prioritize and synthesize potentially complex material from multiple sources, and influence senior stakeholders. - Aptitude to identify internal efficiencies and implement internal process improvements. - Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills - Analytical problem-solving skills with a track record of improving process efficiency and reliability We’d love to see: - Positive, driven mindset with a strong sense of professionalism. - Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-visibility environment. - Passion for evolving internal controls and driving continuous improvement. - Ability to work effectively within an Agile (Scrum) framework. - Experience with SAP and/or Oracle is a plus.
