The Junior Software Developer will be supporting the Steelers Technology Department in the maintenance and development of proprietary software systems. The position is for a full stack developer and will work directly with NFL and statistical data sets with our in-house Lead Developer and implement a variety of systems, tools, automation, and data flow processes. - - This is a FT onsite position with regular office hours M-F Duties and Responsibilities:- Design, code, and test web applications.- Assist front office staff when issues occur in the applications.- Debug and remediate issues as they arise.- Maintain and develop SQL databases- Help develop new features and functionality as requirements changes Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field- Basic proficiency with backend languages such as Java or C#- 0-3 years’ experience with SQL and RDBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)- Experience with ID - Es such as Visual Studio or VS code.- General knowledge of web technologies and experience with JavaScript or Type. Script- Knowledge of version control specifically Git- Understanding of Object-Oriented programming and the software development lifecycle.- Communication skills, particularly non-technical conversations.- Experience with Windows environments. Preferred Skills:- Experience using front-end frameworks and libraries such as Angular, Vue, or React- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Azure or AWS- Basic Knowledge of design patterns such as dependency injection.- Previous experience with basic UI design and the use of CSS.- Strong SQL skills- Advanced understanding of the game of football preferred.
