The Patient Services Coordinator (PSC) is an essential member of the Vascular Access & Procedures team, ensuring efficient clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and clinical staff by coordinating appointments, managing patient flow, providing detailed information, and supporting administrative processes in a fast-paced healthcare environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Greet and check in patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments. Provide detailed information regarding appointments, procedures, and clinic processes. Assist with patient registration and demographic verification. Answer incoming calls and appropriately direct inquiries. Support patients and families by addressing questions and escalating concerns when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation and records within departmental systems. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow. Assist with coordination of procedural scheduling and related administrative activities. Perform additional duties as assigned. Previous experience with patient check-in, reception, scheduling, or healthcare registration functions. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and thoroughly. Demonstrated ability to de-escalate challenging situations and provide service recovery when needed. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Fast learner with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a healthcare setting. Ability to work collaboratively with patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Basic healthcare or clinical terminology knowledge preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other healthcare-related systems. Able to maintain professionalism and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. WORK SCHEDULE - Shift Structure: 10-hour shifts Work Schedule:Four 10-hour shifts per week. Shift hours: 8:45 am-7:15 pm. Schedule rotation may include weekdays, weekends and holidays EDUCATION - Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preferred: Associate's degree WORK EXPERIENCE - Required: 3 years Relevant work experience Preferred: Health care experience in a hospital setting. Additional education may be substituted for required experience on a one-to-one basis. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
