We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Operations Manager, Required Bilingual Spanish - Brooklyn (travel to different schools required). In this role, the successful candidate The Operations Manager in the Family Health Center (FHC) at NYU Langone has overall responsibility for strategic planning, clinical and financial operations, and overall success of the practice and/or program. Reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations. The Operations Manager is expected to develop and work in close collaboration with FHC leadership team to strategize and identify opportunities to expand and grow the practice/program. Job Responsibilities:Develop and implement initiatives in collaboration with Medical Director and executive leadership team to improve and sustain desired performance targets in the areas of patient care, clinical and financial operations, revenue cycle, patient experience, and quality performance. Assist in the development of the vision and strategic plans in collaboration with SBHC leadership team and senior leadership and aligned with overall organizational goals. Facilitate regular administrative meetings for school health to promote communication and integration between primary care, mental health and dental services. Oversee personnel administration and performance with the Human Resources department. Administrative contact for all city, state, private contracting and agreements negotiated on behalf of NYU FHC. Responsible for department financial management including development of annual operating budgets, monitoring P&Ls, daily budget variances and monthly analysis for tracking and oversight of school health issues affecting revenue cycle, managed care, and finance. Work with FHC NYUL Finance team on any grants and awards from State and DOE. Oversee the daily operations of systems and works closely with MCIT. Investigate incidents/occurrences as they relate to patient complaints and monitors patient and staff satisfaction as appropriate. Recruit, supervise and ensure ongoing professional development for staff. Ensure regular review of policies and procedures in conjunction with leadership and Compliance Keep abreast of regulatory policies and industry changes that may affect the manner of clinical practice in School Health Services and clinic practice sites. Provide support and disseminate information and education to staff accordingly to changes and updates. Oversee outreach to ensure that SBH enrollment and utilization targets are met and identify opportunities for program expansion in new school locations. Identify and establish collaborative relationships with community and school leaders and that can enhance FHC health services and promote expansion of our services to new locations. Identify resources from within the organization that can strengthen school health through collaboration. Work with SBHC team and senior leadership to identify strategies to increase revenue/or improve efficiency. Promote school health and advocate for the needs of the program within the larger organization and within the schools and community. Work collaboratively with clinical leadership to ensure completion of any applications associated with the SBH program, Article 28 and HRSA CIS requirements. Responsible for program and site reporting to both internal and external stakeholders including regulatory and funding agencies. Work with leadership and compliance to ensure that JCAHO, OMH, DOH and IPRO regulations are followed. Foster relationships and coordinate communication with all key stakeholders including school leadership, NYC DOHMH, NYSDOH and Community Based organizations co-located in schools or clinical practice sites. Performs other duties as assigned and required. Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:ability to be flexible for joining community outreach event to promote enrollment and utilization with their Coordinatorsability to go to different school locations throughout the city to monitor and evaluate needs. Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5-years leadership experience in a health care or school environment. Masters degree preferred. Successful record of accomplishment in leadership and staff management. Demonstrated success in working with executive level leadership. Good written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service skills and ability to grow relationships. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Bilingual Spanish. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
