The position primarily analyzes, designs, constructs, tests, implements, maintains and monitors ADOT's computing clients, servers, network, back office services and other enterprise IT systems throughout the state. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. Across our many agencies, boards, and commissions, many State employees participate in the State’s Remote Work Program and are able to work remotely in their homes, in offices, and in hoteling spaces. All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance. Job Duties: Performs system maintenance, analysis, designs, constructs, leads projects and tests infrastructure. Administers the full range of disciplines. Reviews configuration change proposals for compliance to established standards, guidelines and policies. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of:- Thorough working knowledge of various infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.- Information Technology systems (ITS), systems design, implementation, operational maintenance and management.- Process Improvement Principles.- Google Workspace. Skill in:- Strong customer service skills.- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.- Expert troubleshooting skills. Ability to:- Balance prioritized and organize multiple tasks.- Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations.- Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly.- Develop and write technical documentation.- Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.- Evaluate and test emerging technologies.- Perform advanced design, maintenance and repair of servers. Selective Preference(s): Bachelor's degree or 8 years of extensive experience in systems engineering (or equivalent experience)
