The Undergraduate Business Program is undergoing a major strategic transformation. Several major academic initiatives have been introduced that will transform the future of business education at W&M. These initiatives include: - Reduction in credit hour requirements for incoming students to the program - Significant increase in student capacity (from 240 to 432 per academic year) - Launch of a summer semester that includes many unique academic and professional experiences - Development of a highly-experiential “signature experience” that integrates professional development and personal wellness with broadened and deepened understanding of careers in business and with ideas around principled achievement and ethical decision making. All these initiatives have received strong support from business school faculty and the university overall. The Undergraduate Business Program is carefully considering introducing additional important strategic initiatives including: - Designing and launching an international exchange program and making other investments in international experiences for students - More fully investing in student-success services to increase retention and graduation rates for all students, including first-generation and Pell-eligible/low-income students - Introducing multiple BMA - Ps which requires close coordination with other W&M schools and academic programs across campus.
