The Human Resources Generalist administers policies relating to all aspects of Human Resources activity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provides guidance to the Human Resources Department. Ensures compliance with laws and regulations. Provides information, solves problems, or otherwise responds to requests from managers and employees. Reconciles monthly benefit bills. Administers and tracks leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, personal leaves)Oversees and administers the end-to-end ADA accommodation process to include conducting the interactive process with employees and managers. Manages /processes workers' compensation claims including maintaining OSHA log. Manages/processes short term and long term disability claims. Assists with workplace investigations. May assist with exit procedures for separating employees. Manages all unemployment claims. Participates in department staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as necessary and to represent the department. Other Responsibilities:Adheres to the policies and procedures of Full Sail University. Maintains strict confidentiality of company and personnel information. Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization. Adheres to company attendance standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Competencies:Project management skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Creative and innovative writing ability, including proofreading and editing for grammar and punctuation. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented. Ability to multi-task and work independently. Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment. Education and/or Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline from four-year college or university required. Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience in Human Resources. Prior experience with FMLA, ADA and workers' compensation is preferred. Experience in a company with 1000 employees strongly preferred. Experience with Workday is a plus. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:N/ A - Computer Skills:Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
