The Role The Business Operations & Facilities Supervisor is responsible for managing FreshDirects portfolio of leased sites, ensuring each location operates efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. This role oversees lease administration, site strategy, and facility operations while driving cost optimization and operational performance across the network. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Operations & Indirect Procurement, this individual partners cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, and EHS to manage risk, support site decisions, and ensure all facilities align with business and operational goals. What Youll Do Manage lease administration across the full portfolio, including critical dates, renewals, rent escalations, CAM reconciliations, and landlord obligations Lead site search and relocation initiatives, including market analysis, broker coordination, site selection, financial modeling, and lease negotiation support Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, HVAC, janitorial services, and security Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Legal, and EHS to assess risk, ensure compliance, and support operational needs across sites Analyze and optimize facility-related spend, including utilities, repairs & maintenance, and service contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities Manage vendor relationships, including contract oversight, SLA performance, and ongoing vendor evaluations Support capital projects such as site build-outs, relocations, retrofits, and decommissioning efforts Maintain centralized records for leases, vendor contracts, facility spend, and critical operational data Prepare regular reporting on lease obligations, facility performance, spend trends, and savings initiatives Drive continuous improvement across lease administration, vendor management, and facility operations processes What Youll Bring 5 years of experience in facilities management, commercial real estate, or related operations roles Bachelors degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Engineering, or a related field Proven ability to manage lease portfolios and complex facility operations across multiple sites Strong knowledge of commercial lease structures (NNN, gross, modified gross, CAM, escalations, renewals, exclusives) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in spend analysis and cost optimization Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities across cross-functional teams Experience negotiating with landlords, brokers, and facility vendors Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required); experience with lease systems or CMMS tools preferred Our Values at FreshDirect We live these values every day: A Passion for our customers.
