The Lead- Sales Business Analytics role plays a key role in our efforts by providing data and decision support across the Royal Caribbean Sales Organization with specific analytical responsibilities for the Trade Sales Channel. The Sales Lead is responsible for financial analysis and management of North America commission programs that drive both strategic and tactical initiatives related to Sales performance, promotional activities, and decision support. They are responsible for providing recommendations to the sales leadership based on their analysis, reporting and interpretation of sales data. The role will identify regional sales trends, forecast sales, lend analytical support to sales leadership in setting goals, and calculate and monitor performance to ensure sales effectiveness. The role works with Revenue Planning, Revenue Management, Finance and Accounting team to ensure cohesiveness with corporate goals and initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop financial models and projections to address complex business problems. Lead monthly North American commission certification, while maintaining multiple budgets totaling $50 M. Reconciliation of external payments to travel agencies in coordination with Accounting. Responsible for the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of sales data to identify trends (i.e., regionally, by product, by account, by market, or by segment). Develop, implement, and enhance high impact business reporting. Provide analytical support on tactical and strategic special projects across all sales channels, quickly responding to demand trends. Prepare reports and presentations for all levels of the department. Analyze and disseminate competitive data regarding products, services, and trade compensation to identify industry trends and innovations. Develop productive working relationships with all Sales Managers, Directors, and Executives as well as peers and other colleagues within the department and cross-departmentally Track and report results against specific initiatives and programs and make recommendations on improvements in a timely and efficient manner. Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor’s degree (BS) from four-year college or university or equivalent work experience. Three to Five years related experience in financial/business analysis. Previous experience with Finance, Sales or Marketing preferred. Analytical skills to interpret data trends. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Knowledge of Business Intelligence and data gathering tools (Power. BI, SQL, etc). Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in data and analysis. Ability to effectively present information to executive management and public groups. Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external / internal customers at all levels. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions that incorporate business concepts. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Work on projects independently and as part of a cross functional team. Ability to solve complex problems with a variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists.
