The Lab Technician receives an looks up in the AS 400/ I 5 system fabric samples, laminate samples, quartz yarn, and other quartz specialty products, conducts physical properties testing on fabric samples, makes and tests laminates, prepares ballistics shoot packs, conducts testing on quartz yarn, and other quartz specialty products while adhering to all applicable industry test methods and requirements. The Lab Technician will compare test results to applicable industry standards and/or customer specifications and enter the test data into the Labware database system. Additionally, the Lab Technician will assist in various projects, production trials, and data collection. Four years’ experience in a physical testing laboratory or advanced studies beyond high school and two years’ experience in a testing laboratory or an associate’s degree in a laboratory or material science.(Preferred) Must have good reading, math, and communication skills. Must have demonstrated personal computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AS 400/ I 5, and Labware.
