The UW Connects Outreach Program Coordinator provides comprehensive program management, administrative coordination, and operational support for UW Connects’ existing outreach programs and for development of a new statewide outreach strategy designed to unify and scale outreach and engagement across the University of Wisconsin–Madison. This role serves as a central hub for community requests and campus coordination, managing intake, workflows, and program delivery while ensuring a high-quality experience for community partners, faculty, staff, and students. The position oversees logistics for the Badger Talks and Bucky’s Classroom programs, supervises student staff, supports faculty and student travel logistics, and contributes to data collection, process standardization, and statewide outreach development efforts. The position reports to the UW Connects Director. Key Job Responsibilities:Schedules day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers (45%)Schedules and secures logistics and resources in support of an outreach program (10%)Hires, trains, manages and engages with student staff (20%Identifies opportunities for program improvement or new outreach program development (10%)Directs the implementation of program policies and procedures (5%)Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships to promote the outreach program (10%)Department:Office of State Relations and Statewide Outreach. This is a hybrid position, with the expectation of 3 days per week on-site and 2 days of remote work per week. Compensation:The minimum annual salary for this position is $48,107. The expected salary for well-qualified candidates is $52,000. Learn more here. Required Qualifications:Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) or similar database systems. Ability to work independently and cooperatively on complex projects, handling multiple priorities and tight deadlines, in a detail-oriented environment. Proven ability to be highly organized, systems oriented, self-directed and works well both independently and collaboratively. Experience and enjoyment of hiring, managing and engaging student staff. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Hubspot. Experience working in non-profit and/or government settings; including familiarity with UW policies, procedures, and standards (or ability to learn quickly). Experience working with high level stakeholders. Experience with Workday or other HR/expense reimbursement system Education:Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
