The Athletics Department at Benedictine University seeks an assistant coach for men's soccer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting the head coach in all aspects of coaching, practice preparation, game preparation, strategy, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, strength training and scheduling in support of the men’s soccer program. Adherence to NCAA Division III rules and regulations, supporting the philosophy, goals and mission of the college and its intercollegiate athletics program, as well as adherence to departmental, university, NACC, and NCAA policies and procedures is required. Essential Job Responsibilities: 1. Assist in the planning, organization, and administration of practice .. Assist in the game preparation and implantation of game strategies .. Assist with recruiting qualified Prospective Student Athletes to the program .. Assist in academic support for the Men’s Soccer Student Athletes .. Assist with player training/recruiting for men's soccer program. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree Required. Experience: Previous coaching experience at collegiate, club or high school level(s) Specific Skills: Knowledge of NCAA Division III philosophy, recruitment, rules and regulations Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: Yes. Organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and supervisory skills. Valid driver’s license required. CPR/ First Aid/ AED certification preferred. Physical Requirements: Athletics - Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; out. Travel (If applicable): Yes Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable): Yes Working Conditions: Outdoor and indoor environment, varying level of weather with some office work. Nights and weekends required. Training: As a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training to fulfill your job duties. Specific training will be conducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
