Manages clean linen distribution and maintains tracking and accountability of linen supplies. Ensures all equipment and supplies are kept clean and in working condition. Resolves patient satisfaction concerns in a timely manner. Monitors and replenishes supplies as needed. Coordinates the ATP-GEL process and compliance, reporting inspections to leadership to ensure staff notification and training, if applicable. Manages reporting logs in the department, including attendance, Hazardous Materials Monthly inspections, and Hazardous Books compliance. Develops annual goals and objectives for environmental services consistent with the organization's mission and strategic plan. Assigns duties to ensure work tasks are accomplished efficiently and that adequate staff and supplies are available for the shift. Prepares, evaluates, and controls the department's annual budget. Regularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to acceptable cleaning practices. Supervises all staff by assigning work, training, hiring, evaluating performance, administering progressive discipline, and recommending termination as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to assist in maintaining man-hours and supply costs Ability to manage the day activities in supervising staff including training, hiring, terminations, orienting, and evaluating performance Knowledge about best environmental practices Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Able to communicate in English Must have the ability to direct subordinates Ability to teach, plan, organize, coordinate, staff department, and prepare budget Working knowledge of environmental cleaning techniques, Joint Commission, Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and codes Knowledge of hazardous materials in a healthcare setting Ability to type and use computer with above-average competence Has excellent people skills, enthusiasm for helping others, and a respectful attitude Able to easily build rapport and trust Must have good problem-solving skills, ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups Organizational, verbal interpersonal, customer relations, grammar/spelling skills [Required] Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions Knowledge of TJC and OSHA regulatory standards Intermediate computer skills [Required]Education: Associate [Preferred] High School Graduate or Equivalent [Required]Field of Study: N/ A - Work Experience: 1 year of leadership experience [Preferred] 3 years of technical experience [Required]Additional Information: N/ A - Licenses and Certifications: Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) [Preferred] Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) [Preferred] Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (HSP-C) [Preferred] Certified Healthcare Emergency Professionals (CHEP) [Preferred]Certified Health Executive (CHE) [Preferred]Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements)Physical Requirements - km 2677 Pay Range:$51,308.00 - $95,425.00
