What if you could re-invent how millions of customers plan their shopping needs? We are looking for a Sr. Software Development Manager to lead a new 01 initiative that will shape the future of how customers discover, organize, and share across Amazon. This is a high-ambiguity, high-impact role that requires someone with the bias for action and judgement of an AI startup. You will be leading a high performing team of engineers and builders, and transforming tier-1 systems with AI native development. You will be working with partners across Amazon in realizing the vision, and influencing them to accelerate value for our customers. You will own the technical strategy and delivery of complex 0-1 programs. You are in charge of the technical health of your systems. The right leader knows how to blend product thinking into technology solutions, pivot fast to dis-confirm their beliefs, and obsesses over the customer experience. About the team. Amazon Lists helps hundreds of millions of customers organize and share the things they love from wish lists and gift registries to idea boards and collections. We're entering a new chapter, applying state of the art AI to re-imagine how customers curate, discover, and connect through lists. Basic Qualifications- 10 years of engineering experience- 5 years of engineering team management experience- 10 years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience- Experience partnering with product or program management teams- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment. Preferred Qualifications- Experience partnering with product and program management teams- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications- Experience in successful technology product work from ideation through launch- Experience with Generative AI / LLM integration in production systems (prompt engineering, model serving, RAG architectures, evaluation frameworks)
