As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/ Petrochemical, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour Job Schedule:Day. Time. Thur 05:00 AM - 06:00 PM - Fri 05:00 AM - 06:00 PM - Sat 04:30 AM - 04:30 PM What You'll Do:Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor and contractor check-in activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and controlled areas. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns and/or unusual activity. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gates, and assigned access points, with working environments and conditions that may vary throughout the location. Document access activity, maintain accurate logs and reports, and support vehicle inspections and delivery screening in accordance with site-specific security-related procedures. Minimum Requirements:A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Possess 1 years of law enforcement experience or 2 years of supervisor/manager experience in a security-related role or 3 years of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
