We’re seeking an Assembly Operator to work at a leading manufacturer in Wyandotte, MI for a temporary-to-hire type opportunity with advancement opportunities and full benefits. Pay Rate: $16.50/hr. for 1st or 2nd shift $17.50/hr for 3rd shift Shifts: 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 6 am-2 pm), overtime as needed 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2 pm-10 pm), overtime as needed 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 10 pm-6 am) overtime as needed Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma or GED Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs throughout shifts Once hired on you will receive: A comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching Generous paid time off. You’ll: Perform visual inspection of finished parts for defects. Perform minor finishing and basic assembly operations. Required to perform all duties in a safe, efficient manner. Accurately record data into plant’s electronic database systems. Problem solves alone, and with others, to resolve equipment problems. May use rulers, clippers and other similar small tools to complete assigned inspection/task. Read standard operating instructions to familiarize self with operating and safety procedures. Able to wear and utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE) specified by the organization. Perform safety and quality check of assigned equipment on a routine basis and actively participates and supports the safety program. Support efficient movement of materials from inspection/assembly lines to staging area for transfer to warehouse. Complete equipment changeover operations to ensure safety, quality and productivity are maintained. Maintains housekeeping standards Must possess acute visual acuity, attention to detail and organizational acumen. May train other personnel on unit operations within the department.
