The Sales General Manager will oversee the sales team and work closely with senior management to develop and implement effective sales strategies. This role is pivotal in driving revenue targets, developing client relationships, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team. What You’ll Do: Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand our customer base. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Provide ongoing support, performance feedback, and coaching. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify potential areas for growth. Revenue and Profitability: Develop and manage the sales budget, and work to meet or exceed sales quotas. Sales Reporting: Analyze sales metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management to guide decision-making. What You'll Need: Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field, or 10 years of equivalent industry experience. Experience in a business-to-business sales organization with 5 years sales leadership experience; Chemical sales experience is an asset. Experience with customer and territory management. Knowledge of pricing and marketing strategy. Ability to travel up to 50%. Effective and engaging communication skills. Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels. Recognize and monitor market conditions, trends, and competitor activities. Where You’ll Work: This is a hybrid role in Charlotte or Greensboro, NC.
