Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry. What to Expect. Schedule: Evening Shift: currently we have two options available Sunday -Thursday 3 pm - 11:30 pm Tuesday - Saturday 5:00 PM - 1:30 AM - Training: Days (paid)Base Pay: $19.39-$20.60 per hour. As a Laboratory Technician, you'll get to. Maintain accurate data records and documentation. Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration. Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements. Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures. High School or GED required. No Experience Required. REQUIREMENTS:KNOWLEDGE/ EDUCATION - High School graduate or GED required. EXPERIENCE - No experience required. SKILLS/ ABILITIES - Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication, organization, and analytical skills. Must be able to maintain donor, patient and employee confidentiality. Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
