DIRECT HIRE POSITION - Pay/ Hours - $25.00 - $34.00/hour - 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM - Overtime Required. Typical work week is 45 - 50 hour. What You'll Do. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, shop prints, and welding symbols. Layout, fit-up, assemble, fabricate, and weld structural and custom assemblies. Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys. Fabricate skids, platforms, supports, frames, and miscellaneous structural components. Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and assembly orientation. Perform weld preparation including grinding, beveling, fitting, and material preparation. Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plate rolls, band saws, ironworkers, magnetic drills, grinders, and hand tools. Safely operate overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and material handling equipment. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Qualifications. Ability to pass a welding qualification test. Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols. Experience with MIG welding of carbon steel and stainless-steel Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fabrication Welder I 1-3 years of welding and/or fabrication experience preferred. Fabrication Welder II 3-5 years of fabrication shop experience preferred. Experience with layout, fit-up, and fabrication of structural assemblies preferred. Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes and plate rolls preferred. Physical Requirements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective clothing.
