To provide mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic installation, repair, and troubleshooting support to all areas of manufacturing. Responsibilities:Responsible for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing TS 16949 & ISO 14001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report same to supervisor, Quality Assurance and/or Engineering department representative. Must be able to use basic mechanical equipment and hand tools for equipment repair. Read basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and fabrication prints. Repair lubrication systems with supervision. Disassemble and repair clutch and brake assemblies with supervision. Repair gear, belt and chain drives with supervision. Repair shaft bearings and seal assemblies with supervision. Maintenance welding and cutting using electrode arc welder, MIG (metal inert gas) welder, and oxyacetylene welding and cutting equipment. Install production and support equipment in conjunction with Engineering and Production guidelines under direct supervision. Inspect equipment condition utilizing established Preventive Maintenance procedures. Seek Continuous Improvement opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste. To use and maintain necessary documentation such as machine history, Preventative Maintenance check sheets, work orders and logbooks. Ability to adhere to and perform all essential safety procedures. Serve on Emergency/ Spill Response Team as assigned. Housekeeping and other activities as assigned. Qualifications:2 or more years experience required. Industrial Maintenance, preferably in manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Basic electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatic. Skills:Individual must observe all safety regulations to insure own and others’ safety. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to use precise measuring equipment. Basic math skills required. Excellent teamwork skills required. Individual to be mechanically inclined, self-motivated and reliable. Ability to work overtime as required. Individual must furnish basic personal tools for use at work. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence is required. Education:A High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of Maintenance apprenticeship or an Associate Degree in a technical field of study is preferred and/or 5 years work related (proven) experience may be substituted instead of a degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards a degree will be considered and/or Journeyman Certification. Have a basic understanding of machine tool, welding, and fabrication techniques.
