Assists the Asset Management team in reviewing asset inventories and completing updates for sanitary sewer, stormwater, transportation, and grounds maintenance datasets. Reviews infrastructure and development projects and updates both the asset management system and GIS accordingly. Creates static maps and/or mapping applications for various internal requests. Works in the field to collect data and photos using GPS equipment, GIS applications (ESRI, ArcGIS) and/or the asset management application. Performs Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/ QC) procedures to ensure all collected data are accurate. May work on specific City of Littleton Asset Management or GIS-related projects, as interest and time allows. Other related duties and tasks as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent (or will have by the start); and. Some college course work in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, or a similar field preferred; or An equivalent combination of education, training and work experience that produces the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position may be considered. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and motor vehicle records check. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems, and basic experience with ArcGIS Pro and ESRI applications. Basic understanding of GIS principles and spatial reference. Strong technology skills and ability to learn and utilize new systems. Strong attention to detail and ability to review data for accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively and develop cooperative working relationships. Interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
